Meet Your Divorce Strategist
Welcome. I’m Rachel Lynas, your local guide here in Idaho. Many divorce coaches approach this work purely from an emotional lens. I approach it as someone who has survived an asymmetric legal war, mastered corporate business strategy, and studied the exact science of family breakdown.
Rebuilding your life after loss is hard, but you don't have to navigate it alone. I'm here to help you lay a solid foundation for your next chapter in a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment.

My mission is to help you stop living in fear, eliminate the chaos of self-spiralling, and take active control of your future.
For 14 years, my identity was rooted in being a dedicated stay-at-home mom and the primary caregiver for my children. When my marriage to an attorney ended, my world spun completely out of control. Because I had sacrificed my career to raise our family, I felt entirely powerless. I was gripped by fear—terrified to ask for what I actually needed, and afraid to speak up against a legal system that felt designed to silence me.
In the chaos of that litigation, I trusted verbal promises, only to realize too late that the written parenting plan—which he wrote—superseded everything. That document became the rigid dictator of my life with my children. I learned that legal text matters down to the placement of a comma, and that an agreement is only as good as your co-parent’s willingness to honor it.
I watched protective details I fought for fail because the financial cost to legally enforce them in court outweighed the benefit of letting them go.
Through these combined battlefields, I mastered the true architecture of boundaries. Learning to protect your time and emotional capital is incredibly rewarding, and ironclad boundaries are the absolute key.
Later in life, entering a blended family, my husband and I had to confront another devastating reality: parental alienation and external harassment. This time, the challenge came from his ex-wife—the mother of his 7-year-old son—who repeatedly tried to control our household and used emotional outbursts to disrupt our peace.
We refused to let our home be dictated by her toxicity. We sought specialized therapy to arm ourselves with behavioral tools, and we partnered with an exceptional attorney who drafted precise documents to enforce the divorce decree.
I learned that when dealing with a toxic co-parent, just seeing their name flash on your screen can instantly trigger a visceral fight, flight, freeze, or fawn reaction. Once that nervous system hijack happens, it is already too late. I have gathered and refined the exact tools needed to slow down that trauma response, allowing you to stay anchored in the present moment. The reality is that most conflicts sent your way do not deserve your energy.

My professional authority isn't just built on textbook theory—it was forged through my own profound transformation.
When I was deep in the trenches of my own divorce recovery, I sat where you are sitting, and I attended the Rebuilders 10-week course as a participant.
That structured framework completely revolutionized my healing process. Through the Rebuilders divorce recovery process, I learned the painful but liberating art of letting go of the "we" to fiercely rediscover "me."
The course equipped me to recognize my anxiety patterns, halt the panic spiral before it took over, release my deep grief, and fundamentally reframe my anger to appreciate exactly what it was trying to protect me from.
By executing this systematic roadmap, I found a deep, unshakeable internal calmness. It gave me the emotional freedom to finally stop letting external drama take up valuable space in my head and my heart.
Today, I live with genuine peace and hope for the future, enjoying the ultimate freedom to create and start living my best life. Because I have personally walked every single step of this 10-week path, I know exactly how to guide you through it.
I realized that divorce is a complex corporate restructuring of your entire life. To help others avoid the traps I fell into, I aligned my personal resilience with high-level, data-driven professional frameworks:
The Business Brain
My corporate business background equips me to handle high-stakes asset organization, navigate financial intimidation, and logically map out your exit strategy before you engage expensive attorneys.
Family Dynamics & Clinical Data
My studies in Family Dynamics and Development at Oregon State University, combined with my clinical work on groundbreaking John Gottman research, mean our strategies are rooted in proven behavioral science, specifically regarding child development and communication patterns.
Mediation & Document Architecture
Through advanced Mediation courses and co-instructing court-mandated parenting classes, I know exactly how family court judges evaluate custody plans. I help you construct plans that proactively build boundaries against parental alienation and protect your parental rights.
Structured Emotional Rebuilding
As a Certified Health and Wellbeing Practitioner and Coach, and a dedicated Rebuilders International facilitator, I use the same structured 10-week course that saved my own well-being to help you process grief, establish ironclad boundaries, and successfully transition from a "we" to a thriving "me."
“There is a dangerous myth that if you just wait long enough, things will get easier."
But the truth is that waiting to feel better doesn’t just happen. Turning to temporary numbing mechanisms doesn’t work, and falling into a spiral of guilt or feeling worse about yourself isn't a solution.
While you are stuck in that loop, your children are watching. You cannot afford to lose yourself; you need to show up and be present for your children right now.
Divorce effectively turns what was once an emotional marriage into a strict business agreement. That contract becomes the permanent roadmap for your future life. If it is left open to confusion, vagueness, or self-interpretation, your peace will be constantly disrupted.
Stop investing in a dead marriage and start investing in yourself. Together, we will use tools like The Divorce Recovery Scorecard (DRS) to get your free emotional weather report, organize your data, architect your documents, clean up your communication lines, and actively build a beautiful, independent future.
